Q: What do the different scales mean and which is larger?
A: The scales are listed in a similar way to fractions, so when you see a scale represented as 1:500, you can think of it as the model being 1/500th of the size of the real airplane. A 1:200 scale model would be 1/200th of the size of the real airplane, and therefore about 2 1/2 times larger than a 1:500 scale model. For more information, please visit our scale chart.

New Hogan Wings 1:200 models for April 2010- Thursday 15 April, 2010
We are very excited to announce that with the addition of the XL Airways Airbus 330 as part of the Hogan Wings April 2010 New Releases, we now have our first model of an airline starting with the letter X and at last we have at least one model for each letter of the alphabet! The February 2010 New Releases are here. In 1:400 scale we have the Qantas Boeing 747 Socceroos colors, Alaska Boeing 727 Russian Domes and the AirTran Boeing 717 painted in Atlanta Falcons colors. In 1:200 we have the Delta Boeing 757 in SkyTeam colors and the Alaska Boeing 737 Alaska Statehood colors.
