Herpa is well recognized as the leader in the world of 1:500 scale model commercial airliners, but they also offer a wide array of 1:400 and 1:200 scale models.  In Herpa's 1:500 collection there are over 500 models from all over the world.  The models are die-cast metal and feature highly detailed printing of each airline's logos.  In addition to the large collection of models, Herpa offers a variety of components for building your own model airport.  In the 1:400 scale Herpa offers about 100 models which nicely compliment the 1:400 scale models from GeminiJets.  These too are made of die-cast metal and offer excellent printed details.  Herpa's 1:200 scale collection includes about 75 models.  Most of these models are made of high density plastic and feature the same detailed printing as the other models.  Some of the newer releases in this scale are die-cast metal.  Herpa also offers a Premium Series in the 1:200 scale with a small collection of models manufactured to the absolute highest quality.  These models feature details you cannot find on any other models, such as spring loaded landing gear and more detailed wings and fuselage.  Recently, Herpa has moved into the 1:300 die-cast scale arena with just one offering - a Lufthansa Boeing 747.
