Q:	What do the different scales mean and which is larger?
A:	The scales are listed in a similar way to fractions, so when you see a scale represented as 1:500, you can think of it as the model being 1/500th of the size of the real airplane. Two years ago, British Airways announced that its fleet will no longer be painted in the "World Images" liveries introduced in 1997. As many people really missed the earlier uniform fleet appearance and felt the new liveries did not present a truly British identity, the airline is repainting its entire fleet in the new "Chatham Union Flag" paint scheme presented on this Boeing 747-400.

In June of 2006, I was returning to San Francisco from JFK airport, and while we were at the terminal waiting to taxi out to the runway(on a United Airlines 757), I saw this exact airplane waiting at the terminal right next to us. Herpa really did a great job on this model! It looks exactly like the one I was staring at out of the porthole!
